As part of an ongoing effort to continuously monitor and improve water quality, the City of Cocoa evaluated and implemented a plan to lower disinfection by-products (DBP) levels in our drinking water. DBPs are formed during disinfection of water at Wewahootee and Dyal Water Treatment Plant. DBPs are regulated and the maximum contaminant levels for DBPs include Total Trihalomethanes (TTHM) at 0.080 mg/L and Haloacetic Acids (Five) (HAA5) at 0.060 mg/L.
