Responsibilities
The Cocoa Police Department is dedicated to the investigation and arrest of persons involved in criminal activity.The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) identifies persons, who are involved in organized and/or vice related crimes, and addresses issues involving prostitution, the illegal use and sale of controlled substances, illegal gambling, the distribution and/or sale of obscene or pornographic materials, the illegal use and/or sale of alcoholic beverages, and drug traffic interdiction.Operations are conducted in an effort to decrease the illegal activities of members of organized groups or associations, which are of concern to the community.

(800) 423-TIPS. All callers remain anonymous. Crime line pays up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and indictment of criminals.
